Social Media Consultation

Social Media Consultation November 20, 14 (Fast Food Blog)
Ray DeLaRosa, Jose Garcia, Gabriel Lopez

The company our group chose is McDonald’s.  McDonald’s is the second largest fast food chain in America. They sell a variety of food products to consumers around the globe. Social media is important to McDonald’s because it keeps them in the loop. The way technology advanced over the years they had to adapt quick.
McDonald’s joined twitter in September of 2009. Since 2009 they have tweeted over 27,000 times. McDonald’s social media is used to easily communicate between corporation and consumer. McDonald’s uses social media because it’s one of the easiest and fastest ways to notify its consumer’s the latest news on McDonald’s.  McDonald’s uses its social media to advertise its new products and shows good deals. The people who operate McDonald’s social media is their marketing department. McDonald’s also uses Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook. They all do the same thing, which is to tell us the latest news about deals and products. On Instagram they post pictures that attract us to go to McDonald’s. Twitter is used to advertise their new products.  Their Facebook also advertises their products.

Our Social Media Recommendations:
Offer more coupons and deals
Bring back the old characters of McDonald’s
Allow online orders
They overall use of social media by McDonald’s is very good. They have an excellent team that knows how to attract the consumer eye.

Blog Assignment 7: Privacy Scavenger Hunt

FCC Levies $10 Million Fine Against Carriers for Breach of Consumer Privacy

This article tells us how FCC has fine TerraCome and   YourTel American for 10 million dollars for storing social security numbers ,names, addresses, driver's licenses, and other sensitive information belonging to their customers. This article also tells us how  Verizon wireless has violated the Communications Act because they decided to release a consumer call detail information.

The analysis of the problem from my point of view is that the FCC has the privilege to fine this companies because they need to provide privacy for all the data and information for their companies otherwise people can hacked computers and steal identity. Therefore, FCC has the right to take action.
